Karen Monet
Collaborative Lawyer

Following a career in accounting, specialising in taxation law, Karen made the transition to the field of family law.
Out of concern about the potentially damaging effects she saw in litigation for her clients and their families, Karen strives to adopt a harm reduction approach to her cases. As a result, she has undertaken training as a mediator and Collaborative Professional.
Karen has undertaken numerous Collaborative cases, many as part of a multidisciplinary team. Along with Selina Trigg and Jacinta Gallant (Canada), she co-authored the New Zealand specific content of the Our Family in Two Homes resource book.
Karen is a member of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP).
